Before downloading the PVZ Scared IPA
The iOS release is distributed as PVZ-Scared-1.0.1.ipa from the official download host. It is the same game package no matter which language you use to read this website; changing the site to Spanish, English or Chinese does not translate the game itself. The file is not an App Store product, so tapping it in Files will not install it by itself. iOS requires the IPA to be signed for your device and then sideloaded.
Keep enough free space for both the downloaded IPA and the installed game. Before replacing an older copy, preserve any progress you cannot recreate and note how the earlier build was installed. An AltStore installation and an app signed with a separate certificate may not behave like the same app during an update. Do not delete the older copy until the new one opens and you have checked your progress.
Choose the installation method that fits your setup
AltStore Classic is the more approachable choice when you have access to Windows or macOS and do not already maintain signing certificates. AltServer prepares AltStore on the device and helps refresh apps signed with your Apple ID. This route has more setup steps, but its English documentation explains the complete process.
On-device signing is faster only when a trusted signing app, certificate and provisioning profile are already configured on the iPhone or iPad. The developer reference video demonstrates that workflow but does not supply those prerequisites. If terms such as certificate, provisioning profile or revocation are unfamiliar, use AltStore Classic rather than obtaining a profile from an unknown seller.

Method 1: Install PVZ Scared with AltStore Classic
This method uses AltStore Classic and AltServer. It does not require a jailbreak, but you need a Windows PC or Mac during setup and refreshes.
- Follow the official AltStore instructions for Windows or macOS. Install AltServer on the computer, connect and unlock the iPhone or iPad, then use AltServer to install AltStore Classic on the device.
- On the device, open Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and trust the profile connected to your Apple ID. On iOS 16 or later, also enable Developer Mode under Settings > Privacy & Security, then restart if iOS asks.
- Keep AltServer running and leave the device connected by cable or on the same Wi-Fi network. Open the official PVZ Scared download in Safari, download PVZ-Scared-1.0.1.ipa and save it in Files.
- Open AltStore Classic, go to My Apps, tap the + button and select the downloaded IPA. Complete Apple ID authentication inside AltStore when requested. The PVZ Scared website never asks for your Apple ID or password.
- Wait for signing and installation to finish. When the PVZ Scared icon appears on the Home Screen, open it. If installation fails, keep the full AltStore error message and your iOS version for troubleshooting.
With a free Apple developer account, sideloaded apps normally expire after seven days and must be refreshed through AltStore. Apple also limits how many sideloaded apps can remain active. Open AltStore regularly while AltServer is reachable so PVZ Scared can refresh before it expires.
Method 2: Sign and install the IPA on the iPhone or iPad
This is the workflow demonstrated in the Chinese installation reference shared by the development team. You do not need to understand the video to follow the steps below, but you must already have a trusted IPA signing app and your own valid signing certificate and provisioning profile.
- Before downloading the game, configure your signing app with a valid certificate and provisioning profile. PVZ Scared does not sell or provide certificates, Apple accounts, profiles or third-party signing services.
- Download PVZ-Scared-1.0.1.ipa from the official iOS button in Safari. When the download finishes, save it in Files or open the iOS share sheet.
- Choose your IPA signing app in the share sheet, import the file and select PVZ Scared from the app list. Make sure you are signing the v1.0.1 file downloaded from this website.
- Select your certificate and provisioning profile. In the reference video, the signer sets the minimum system to iOS 10, removes device restrictions, enables file access and automatically handles jailbreak dependencies. These labels vary by signing app; leave unrelated settings at their defaults.
- Start signing, wait for a successful result and choose Install. If iOS requests it, trust the corresponding profile and enable Developer Mode. Return to the Home Screen and open PVZ Scared.
Never upload your Apple ID password to this website or install a certificate from an unknown source. An expired or revoked certificate can prevent the game from opening even when the IPA itself is unchanged.

After installation, return to the Home Screen and open PVZ Scared. If iOS blocks the app before it launches, read the exact system message. A request to enable Developer Mode is different from an untrusted profile warning, an expired signature or an incompatible-device error. Follow only the setting required by the method you used. On iOS 16 or later, sideloaded development apps generally require Developer Mode under Settings > Privacy & Security. A profile trust option, when applicable, appears under Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.
The first launch may take longer than later launches. Let it finish before repeatedly tapping the icon. If the app immediately returns to the Home Screen, record the iOS version, device model, signing method and full error shown by the installer. Those details are more useful than reinstalling the same file several times.
Updating PVZ Scared without losing progress
When a newer PVZ Scared IPA is released, read its changelog before replacing the installed copy. Whenever possible, sign the update with the same Apple ID, certificate and bundle identity used for the existing installation. Changing the signing method can cause iOS to treat the new package as a different app or reject the replacement.
Keep the previous IPA and a note of the method that successfully installed it. With a free Apple developer account, AltStore apps normally need to be refreshed every seven days; refreshing the same build is not a game update. A revoked or expired third-party certificate can also stop an installed copy from opening even though the PVZ Scared file has not changed.
Troubleshooting an IPA that will not install or open
First identify the stage that failed: downloading the IPA, importing it into the signing tool, signing, installing, trusting the profile or launching the game. Check that the filename is PVZ-Scared-1.0.1.ipa and that the transfer completed. An AltStore server connection error should be handled in AltStore; a certificate error belongs to the signing method; a game crash after a successful launch needs a separate report.
Do not erase saves, disable device protection or install several unknown profiles as a first response. Capture the complete error instead of paraphrasing it. For a useful support request, include the device model, iOS version, installation method, certificate type if relevant, package filename and the last successful step. Never include an Apple ID password, verification code or private certificate file.
Certificate and account safety
PVZ Scared provides the game IPA, not Apple accounts, signing certificates, provisioning profiles or paid signing services. The website will not ask you to upload a certificate or enter an Apple ID password. With AltStore, authentication occurs through its own documented flow; with on-device signing, you are responsible for the signer and certificate you choose.
Profiles and certificates can grant trust to software outside the App Store. Review their source and remove anything you no longer recognize. A cheap permanent-signing claim does not prove that a provider is trustworthy or that the certificate will remain valid. If you cannot verify a signing service, use a documented method you control.
