The project behind PVZ Scared

PVZ Scared takes the recognisable garden of Plants vs. Zombies into horror. Familiar silhouettes become unsettling characters, and the diary gives the person inside the house a voice of their own. The original name, 植物大战僵尸恐怖版, helps distinguish this project from other horror mods, remakes and unrelated videos about being frightened by the original game. Plants vs Zombies Scared and PVZ Scared refer to this project here.

The prologue announcement brings together planning, programming, animation, art, music, promotion and iOS support credits. Those are the published credits reproduced above, with the contributors’ names kept in their original spelling. A role listed in that announcement is not a claim that one person created every asset or handled every later update. The original trailer is the reference for this credit list.

The character series is another way to explore the work. Presentations of 诡笑葵, 诡异射手 and 狂尸 show the designs in their original context, while the prologue brings the wider atmosphere together. Watch those sources when you want to see the game’s visual identity rather than relying on a renamed download thumbnail. The site icon also uses the project’s character artwork.

What you can find on the official website

The PVZ Scared website groups practical information around what you came to do. Downloads are organised by Windows, Android and iOS, with the current destination shown before you leave the page. Installation and troubleshooting have their own guides, so a question about opening an archive does not need to interrupt a story introduction. The homepage gives you a route into each part.

For the story, start with the background page and continue to the diary when you are ready. The diary is part of the game’s fiction. Its numbered days should not be confused with update dates. More revealing discussion is clearly marked, and the site distinguishes original character publications from community interpretations. This lets a new player look for help without being required to read a complete ending recap.

For software changes, use the changelog. It documents the 1.0 prologue record and the later v1.0.1 notice, including the older menu’s confusing 1.1 label. Each version has a separate page and an original source. A new character video is kept in the showcase feed unless a package announcement establishes that it belongs to a release. A source publication date is not silently converted into an installer release date.

One project, four ways to read about it

PVZ Scared can be explored here in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Spanish. The language switcher keeps you on the equivalent article rather than sending you back to the homepage. Translated descriptions explain the same project for different readers; original contributor names and useful Chinese character names remain available for comparison.

Website language is separate from game language. Reading the Spanish pages does not imply that an official Spanish game package exists. Likewise, choosing an English guide does not turn an Android file into a PC download. Select the platform you need and use whichever reading language is most comfortable. The getting-started page includes a small Chinese menu glossary for players who need help recognising common controls.

Questions and issue reports go through the linked Bilibili profile. This website does not ask you to create an account, pay for access or provide a password to request a download. If you need help with a failed installation, include the device, package name and exact message, while leaving unrelated personal information out. For the site’s use of theme preferences and external services, consult the privacy page. The project remains a fan work, distinct from an official EA or PopCap release.

PVZ Scared is a fan-made project. Plants vs. Zombies and the original game assets belong to their respective rights holders. This is the PVZ Scared creator website, not an EA or PopCap website.
